Members of Green Day have been pretty busy working on new music in recent months, and they’re finally ready to share it with the world! Their next album Saviors is coming our way in January, and they teased its release with a new single “The American Dream Is Killing Me”.

Green Day announced their latest album on social media and revealed it will explore a wide range of different topics, including “Power pop, punk, rock, indie triumph. disease, war, inequality, influencers, yoga retreats, alt-right, dating apps, masks, MENTAL HEALTH, climate change, oligarchs, social media division, free weed, fentanyl, fragility…”

They’ve also described it as a raw and emotional record that will capture their collective spirit as a band, and an understanding of friendship, culture, and legacy of the last 30-plus years.

“The American Dream Is Killing Me” was released as the album’s first single – and there’s more where that came from! Saviors will feature a total of 15 new songs, including “Look Ma, No Brains!”, “Strange Days Are Here To Stay”, “Father to a Son”, and the title track “Saviors”.

Savior will be released on January 19, 2024, through Reprise Records, and it will mark Green Day’s first album for which they owe a copyright in over three decades, since Kerplunk in 1991.
