Gone is Gone, a supergroup made out of members of Mastodon, At the Drive-In, and Queens of the Stone Age, recently shared their new track “Everything is Wonderfall.”

Presumably serving as a warm-up for a future album, the song is a slow-building but loud hard rock tune that highlights Troy Sanders’ straining vocals. There is a lot to process in the 3.5 minutes of the song including the spoken word part that fits perfectly into the haunting atmosphere of the track.

Hear it below.

Gone is Gone was formed in 2016 by Mastodon’s singer/bassist Troy Sanders, Queens of the Stone Age’s guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, At the Drive-In’s drummer Tony Hajjar, and multi-instrumentalist Mike Zarin. The band released an eponymous EP in the same year before dropping a debut studio album Echolocation in 2017.

After taking a three-year break, the supergroup returned with the stand-alone single “No One Ever Walked on Water” back in December. So far, there are no details about a  follow up to Echolocation, but the singles hint that there is something happening in that department.
