We had Frank Zappa album reissues, biographies, hologram tour, and now it’s time for a coloring book. Yes, you’ve read it correct. Book publisher Fantoons and the late musician’s estate just announced that The Frank Zappa Coloring Book will be released in November.

The book will contain 72 pieces of artwork revolving around Zappa’s life and containing references and Easter Eggs about his work. The artwork was done by Motörhead: Where is Lemmy? duo David Calcano and Lindsay Lee.

“There is no one like Frank Zappa, and there will never be anyone like Frank Zappa,” said Calcano in a statement. “He carved his own genre with pure genius. Every record he did gave us a different experience, that was our main inspiration for this book, let your imagination free and color while listening to Zappa music… What’s better than that?”

“I’m blown away,” added Ahmet Zappa, one of the legendary musician’s sons. “This entire project brings the biggest smile to my face. People who don’t like coloring books, I fear, are dead inside. I’m so happy the Zappa Coloring Book exists, and I worship David Calcano and his team at Fantoons. They make everything better.”

The Frank Zappa Coloring Book will follow the recent 40th-anniversary reissue of iconic Zappa in New York live album. This new release, which hit the shelves in March, was made available on vinyl as well as a 5CD box set.
