Foo Fighters’ new album is just around the corner and they found a great way to tease its release. The rock veterans dropped a new single “Under You” and announced a free global streaming event ahead of the album’s release next month.

The song’s lyrics, such as “There are days I can’t remember/There are days that last forever/Someday I’ll come out from under you/Out from under you” make it clear “Under You” is dedicated to the band’s late drummer Taylor Hawkins and it sees his bandmates grappling with the heavy burden of grief in the face of this loss.

But Here We Are will mark Foo Fighters’ first album since Hawkins’ tragic death last year. They considered disbanding in the face of this tragedy, and only performed at tribute concerts in the wake of his death, but eventually announced they’ll stay together back in December.

But Here We Are will hit the shelves on June 2, and “Rescued” was released as its lead single just last month. The band will celebrate its release by hosting a free global streaming event on May 21. It will be available exclusively on the streaming platform Veeps and feature debut performances of new songs, behind-the-scenes footage, and more.
