If you liked the beats on Flying Lotus’ new record Flamagra but didn’t quite enjoy the rapping, then we have some great news for you. The music producer recently announced that he will release an instrumental version of the album in May.

Flamagra (Instrumentals) is scheduled to drop on May 29th as a CD and digital download with special vinyl being in works as well. The vinyl edition will come on two LPs and will feature “exclusive animated slipmat” done by filmmaker Winston Hacking and artist Drew Tetz.

Flying Lotus already presented the first song from the Flamagra (Instrumentals) when he recently released a beats-only version of “Black Balloons Reprise.” The song originally featured Denzel Curry on vocals.

“Whereas the original album featured a dream cast of vocal collaborators, this project places the masterful arrangements, electronics, and musicianship at the forefront,” said Flying Lotus about the project.

Flamagra was released last summer and featured an appearance from Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, Shabazz Palaces, Toro y Moi, and Solange among others. The record received overwhelmingly positive reviews while peaking at No.45 on US Billboard 200 charts.
