Explosions in the Sky are celebrating their 20th birthday with their fans. The American post-rock band announced that they will be embarking on a 20th-anniversary tour this year with dates in Asia and United States.

The band will tour Japan and China in May before embarking on a trip across the U.S. in September and November. They will kick off their U.S. journey in Mesa on September 11 and are set to visit Los Angeles, New York, and Detroit among other cities before wrapping up the tour in Oklahoma City on October 24th.

“Hi everyone, our band turns 20 years old this year and to celebrate we’re playing some shows this Fall,” the band wrote on social media. “We hope to see some of you out there. And thanks so much for sticking with us for so long. We truly appreciate it.”

Following the tour news, fans of Explosions in the Sky are now hoping they will soon get some new music from them as well. The band’s last studio release came in 2016 when they presented critically acclaimed album The Wilderness. They also took part in the soundtrack for 2018’s stop-motion animated comedy Early Man.
