Ellie Goulding is Going Back to Her Roots With Next Album

Ellie Goulding hasn’t released a new album since 2015 and she’s currently getting ready for a comeback. The young singer is dropping her next record sometime this year, and it will be her return to form.

Goulding discussed her follow-up to “Delirium” in an interview with Billboard and described it as a “return of some sorts”. She got more clarity and space this time around and had an opportunity to write most of the material.

“This album is the album of my voice, and my songwriting, and that’s kind of what I’ve always wanted to do. There will be electronic influences and hip-hop influences, and the music that I grew up listening to and that I’ll never be able to shake off,” said the Grammy-nominated singer.

Ellie Goulding still hasn’t revealed when we can expect her next album to drop, but judging by what we’ve heard so far – it’s going to be amazing. Her latest single “Close to Me” came out a few months ago, and it’s one of her catchiest tracks to date.
