Eddie Murphy released three albums between 1985 and 1993, but don’t expect him to collaborate with young stars like Megan Thee Stallion.

While speaking on The Tamron Hall Show to promote his new film Coming 2 America, the comedian and actor responded to questions about his musical aspirations.

Murphy confirmed he still does music and has a collection with his track, but that he stopped releasing it.

“I stopped putting music out but I still do music all the time. Young folks do that.”

When asked if he would team up with Megan Thee Stallion Murphy said, “Megan Thee Stallion? I’m 59, I can’t be doing nothing with no Megan Thee Stallion. You know how crazy I would look doing something with Megan Thee Stallion? I’m gonna be 60 in April. I can’t be having Megan Thee Stallion doing her stuff and I’m standing next to her with my old a** playing my guitar.”
