Duran Duran performed at more epic venues than we can count, and they’re currently gearing up for their most amazing one yet. Famous new wave band is set to perform at the 50th-anniversary celebration of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The show will take place on July 16th at the Rocket Garden at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Tickets are available for sale for $300 each, and profits from the concert will go towards Buzz Aldrin’s Aldrin Family Foundation and its education programs.

Duran Duran keyboardist Nick Rhodes released an official statement regarding their upcoming performance and described his experience of watching the moon landing as surreal and awe-inspiring.

“We’d simply never witnessed anything like it before. It felt like a new beginning. Everything was encapsulated in that one moment, nothing was ever going to be the same again. It represented hope, belief, and opportunity – opening our minds to what mankind was capable of achieving,” he said.
