Many modern artists rely on high-profile collaborations to put their new music on the map, but not Dua Lipa. The Grammy-winning pop sensation is currently gearing up for the release of her third studio album, and she recently revealed her new record will include no features.

Lipa recently set down with The Rolling Stone for an in-depth interview about her new LP and described it as “a psychedelic-pop-infused tribute to UK rave culture.” She revealed it would feature 11 tracks that pay homage to Primal Scream, Massive Attack, Oasis, and Blur.

Lipa also said her next album will capture the essence of youth and freedom and explained why she decided to bring no collaborators on board.

“Sometimes it’s hard to explain to someone your vision. It’s also hard to envision someone on it. I think the songs are just so full, and these stories were so personal that I felt like only I really wanted to tell them,” said Lipa.

Even though her new LP will include no features, she worked closely with Caroline Ailin, Tobuas Jesso Jr., Danny Harle, and Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker to bring it to life. Julia Michaels, Andrew Wyatt, Billy Walsh, and Ali Tamposi have also been credited among songwriters.
