Although it’s been less than a year since Drake released his record-breaking album Scorpion, it seems like the 32-year-old rapper could soon present its follow up.

The “God’s Plan” rapper recently made an appearance in London as part of his Assassination Vacation tour and told the concert crowd that he already started working on a new album.

“I kinda actually started night last night to be honest with you,” he says in one of the clips from the concert. “But I think what I’ma do after this is go home, and I’ma make a new album so I can come back to London next year and we can do this again.”

Drake released Scorpion on June 29, 2018, and met with mixed reviews from the critics who called it “too long” and without “quality control.” Despite this, the record had an extremely successful commercial performance topping charts in several countries and peaking at No. 1 at US Billboard 200 and UK Charts.

With Scorpion, Drake also broke numerous streaming records including Spotify’s one-day global record for album streams with 132.45 million streams and Apple Music’s single-day record with 170 million streams. The album received Album of the Year nomination at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards while single “God’s Plan” won the Grammy for Best Rap Song.
