Doja Cat has been pretty busy promoting her third studio album Scarlet, and it seems its release date is just around the corner. “Paint the Town Red” singer teased the release of new music on September 1, and fans are assuming she’s referring to the release date of her next studio album.

Doja Cat took to social media to share a photo of her shadow on the wall, wearing pointy devil horns. This seems to be another allusion to her new alter ego Scarlet, which shares the name with her upcoming fourth studio album.

Doja Cat gave us a taste of things to come with two singles: “Attention” and “Paint the Town Red”. She also teased her first headlining North American tour, kicking off on October 31, so it’s safe to assume she’ll drop an album before hitting the road.

Doja Cat discussed her new album in a recent cover story with Harper’s Bazaar and revealed she won’t abandon her signature blend of pop and hip-hop, despite her previous claims.

“This new album is more introspective, but I’m not leaning so hard into that to where it becomes boring. So I want to give stories and bops. It’s a nice mixture of both. I think this project is a really fun canvas for me to play with my rap skills and talk about what’s going on in my life,” she explained.
