It’s been 15 years since Dido was on tour, but she is finally ready to hit the road once again in 2019. The English singer/songwriter recently announced that she will release Still on My Mind, her first new album in five years, in March 2019 and that she will embark on a supporting tour across Europe and North America after that.

The 11-dates North America part of the tour will kick off in Chicago on June 13th and is scheduled to wrap up in Seattle on June 30th.

“I spent a lot of time saying no to that question [of touring],” Dido told Billboard. “But as an artist and a songwriter, you start really missing being right in front of the people who listen to your music. It makes you a better writer and artist to actually engage with the people who listen to your music — it’s all fundamental.”

Dido had several collaborators on Still on My Mind including Rollo Armstrong, the founding member of the electronic music group Faithless and her brother.

“It was simple, I only wanted to make another album if it was with him.” – the 46-year-old singer said in a statement. “It was made in such an easy way, all the vocals recorded on the sofa, a lot of it recorded at home.”

As a preview of the record, Dido shared a track titled “Hurricanes.”
