Fame and fortune often come at a price, just ask Dallas Moore: The grizzled country singer-songwriter is riding a high-note, careerwise, having played a show almost every single night last year. But his crazy schedule means he hardly gets to see his wife and daughter.

This conflict is the center of his new song “Everything But You”, that just premiered on Billboard with a video featuring the family he misses so much.

“I played a grueling 337 shows last year,” said Moore to Billboard in an accompanying interview, “and was constantly criss-crossing the USA making all the gigs then hauling ass back to my girls who were home at our TEXAHIO Ranch in southern Ohio.”

“Everything was really taking off with the Mr. Honky Tonk album that we were touring in support of at the time and I felt like I had everything I’ve ever wanted and worked so hard for,” he continued. “Everything but my wife and daughter that is. I was sorely missing my girls when I wrote the song on one of our tour runs back down in Texas. The lyrics are very autobiographical and honest in nature.”

On the video, Moore said: “It’s like they captured a little four-minute glimpse into what our life is really like. I’m out on the road so much and it’s both extremely rewarding but also very hard being away from my family.”
