It’s been almost a year since Coldplay dropped their latest studio album Music of the Spheres and they’re not done promoting it just yet. The British band dropped a euphoric music video for “Humankind”, which takes us straight to one of their concerts in Mexico City.

With this music video, Coldplay wanted to pay homage to the “best fans in the world” and put their experience front and center. The intimate visual shows them performing in front of a massive crowd of nearly 260,000 fans and making this experience a part of the “Humankind” music video makes total sense since they couldn’t wait to perform it live.

Humankind was probably the hardest song to record on the album, just because we couldn’t quite get the feel of it right until the end of the sessions. And then suddenly it all clicked into place and now we’re really excited to play it live,” wrote Jonny Buckland on Twitter.

“Humankind” is one of the songs featured on Coldplay’s latest album Music of the Spheres, which was released in October last year. BTS collaboration “My Universe” debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US, transforming Coldplay into the first British band in history to achieve that feat. This album also produced hit singles “Higher Power” and “Let Somebody Go”.
