Many highly-anticipated events are currently being canceled due to health concerns related to the coronavirus outbreak, and Coachella and Stagecoach are the next ones in line. Both festivals were scheduled to take place next month, but they’re now being postponed until October.

Goldenvoice, the AEG subsidiary in charge of both festivals, announced the decision in an official press release, making it clear it’s their priority to follow the directions of local health authorities and ensure public safety.

“While this decision comes at a time of universal uncertainty, we take the safety and health of our guests, staff, and community very seriously. We urge everyone to follow the guidelines and protocols put forth by public health officials,” reads Goldenvoice’s statement.

Coachella was supposed to take place over the course of two consecutive three-day weekends in April, but it’s will now be held on October 9, 10 and 11 and October 16, 17 and 18. Stagecoach is re-scheduled to October 23, 24 and 25, and refunds are available for ticket buyers unable to attend on those dates.
