Christina Aguilera is currently busy with her Las Vegas residency Xperience, but it’s just a matter of time before she goes back to the studio. The five-time Grammy winner recently announced she’s working on a Latin-themed album.

Aguilera teased her next album during one of her recent concerts and explained why she decided to take this step in an interview with Billboard.

“I’ve been wanting to do it for years. But I want to do it the right way. I want to work with musicians and beautiful people from the Latin world who just eat, sleep and breathe it, and live it, and learn from them,” said the 38-year-old singer.

Aguilera’s hard-core fans weren’t surprised by this decision since this won’t be the first time she dabbled in Latin music. Her second studio album Mi Reflejo from 2000 was filled with Spanish-language tracks, and it won Latin Grammy for best female pop vocal album of the year.
