Chris Cornell’s Daughter Toni Released Her First Single “Far Away Places”

About two years after her father’s death, Toni Cornell, daughter of Chris Cornell is carrying on his legacy. Cornell, who is now 15 years old, is releasing her first single Far Away Places.

Written by Cornell when she was 12 years old, Far Away Places was one of the last songs that Chris Cornell has produced in his studio in Miami, Florida. It was featured in a short film, directed by a friend of the family, 17 years old Tatiana Shanks. The movie, which was screened in several film festivals in 2018, holds the same title and follows a boy who grew up in Los Angeles who travels to his hometown of Tahiti and finds out one of the locals is abusing his younger cousin.

Toni Cornell is no stranger to the world of music. She performed several times alongside her father, the first time was at the Beacon Theatre in New York City where she sang Bob Marley’s Redemption Song. Recently she performed it again alongside Ziggy Marley in a tribute event for Chris Cornell. she has also performed Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah on Good Morning America together with OneRepublic and Ryan Tedder.
