Last Christmas, Chance the Rapper and Jeremih dropped an awesome Christmas mixtape titled Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, which contained nine songs and was dedicated to their hometown of Chicago. Being joined by Hannibal Buress, King Louie, Noname, Lud Foe, and Teddy Jackson, Chance the Rapper and Jeremih released the albumĀ for free via Sound Cloud.

This Christmas, however, we have more Christmas songs coming from the duo. According to the producer of original mixtape Bongo ByTheWay, the two will now turn the mixtape into a full-length album while adding some new songs and covering few classics.

“Itā€™s gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, itā€™s gonna be a completion of that project,” – said Bongo to Rap-Up. “We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, weā€™re really finishing it up and weā€™re gonna put it out right. Itā€™s gonna have new music. Itā€™s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”

Chance the Rapper comes off of a big year for him, in which his mixtape Coloring Book won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Coloring Book became the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy and first album to chart on US Billboard 200 (Number 8) thanks to streams only. The 24-year-old received two more Grammys, for Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for ‘No Problem’, which features Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.

Jeremih, on the other hand, is still working on his fourth studio album alongside collaborations with Kanye West. The R&B singer announced the album in February 2016 and revealed that the title will be Later That Night. Unfortunately for his fans, we still don’t know when the album might be released.
