Chance the Rapper has been one of hip-hop’s most trailblazing artists for years, so it’s surprising to hear that he still hasn’t released his first studio album. That’s about to change this month, when his upcoming record Big Day hits the shelves.

Chance the Rapper shared the cover of his long-awaited debut album during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and announced it will be released on July 26th. The cover shows a hand holding a translucent compact disc.

Big Day is a huge departure from his previous projects as until now, he only released mixtapes, but he’s up for the challenge.

“I’ve been waiting to make an album for a long time. So, the process has been just me being back in the studio all the time. Just making two songs a day. And trying to have fun. But at the same time, I understand that it’s going to be more,” said the rapper in an interview with Zane Lowe.
