]]>The “Make You Mine” visual was co-directed by Beer and Aerin Moreno, and it features countless references to Jennifer’s Body. Beer looks exactly like Megan Fox’s character and plays a killer cheerleader who joins forces with her BFF to murder a guy who has a crush on her.
Beer described this music video as a dream come true, and thanked everyone who made it possible on social media. She’s been a fan of Jennifer’s Body for quite some time and even previously dressed as the main character for Halloween.
“Make You Mine” was released back in February, and the singer revealed it’s her favorite song she’s ever made to date.
“It’s just so fun, such a feel-good song. It’s se-y, it’s infectious. I haven’t played it for anyone that hasn’t just like [started] dancing and felt immediately hotter after listening to it, and that’s always how I want to make people feel,” she told Billboard in February.

]]>“Star” was released as a double-sided single alongside “Heaven” back in August last year, and its music video is finally here. The atmospheric visual sees Mitski paddling a boat across a foggy lake in the middle of the night.
This music video reunited Mitski with her frequent collaborator Maegan Houang, who wanted this visual to offer a contrast to their previous narrative/concept-driven videos.
“I wanted this video to encapsulate the impressionistic circularity we all experience. Our lives oscillate between light and dark repeating itself in an endless cycle where nothing is permanent. The best moments are fleeting, but so are the bad,” said Houang in a statement.
“Star” was released as one of the songs from Mitski’s seventh studio album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, which came out last September. It also produced singles “Bug Like an Angel” and “My Love Mine All Mine”, and she’s promoting with a tour across Europe this spring.

]]>It’s been almost three years since PinkPantheress shared this song with the world, but its music video never saw the light of day. That finally changed this past Friday, when the young R&B star decided to drop the dreamy “Reason” visual, filmed in the middle of the woods.
Sharing this video doesn’t seem to be a promo strategy, but simply a treat for her loyal fans. “Reason” was initially released all the way back in October 2021, as one of 10 songs from PinkPantheress’ debut mixtape To Hell with It, and it wasn’t even one of its singles.
She produced this drum and bass song alongside Zach Nahome, and they ended up making the beat together.
“I told him what kind of drums I wanted, what kind of sound and space I wanted, and he came up with that. With garage music, I just enjoy the breakbeats of it, the drums. It’s also quintessentially British. We birthed it. I think it’s always nice to go back to your roots,” the singer told Genius.

]]>After stirring quite a commotion with her music video for “Feather”, Carpenter decided to take things breezy with “Espresso”. Her latest visual is the very definition of summer fun, and it sees her having a beachside vacation while rocking several pin-up style outfits.
Carpenter described “Espresso” as a song about “seeing femininity as your superpower”, and said she had a very clear vision for its music video from the get-go.
“Since the day I heard the song, I saw a beach atmosphere – and more specifically this kind of old school [and] modern environment. [I wanted to capture] the playfulness that I like to use throughout all of my videos. I also just wanted a pool car, to be frank,” she told Vogue.
Carpenter dropped “Espresso” ahead of her performance at Coachella, and this marks her first solo release of the year. She spent the start of 2024 touring alongside Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour and joined forces with Girl in Red for the duet “You Need Me Now?”

]]>Directed by Tanu Muino, Lipa’s new visual was shot at the Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc in Barcelona, and it might just be her most lavish music video yet. “I really like the way you’re movin’ / Yeah, I just wanna dance with the illusion” she sings in the song’s bridge, while dancing her heart out with a group of synchronized swimmers and enjoying the panoramic views of Barcelona.
Lipa co-wrote this song with Caroline Ailin, Danny L Harle, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Kevin Parker, and she credits it for “breaking the ice” and inspiring it the entire record.
“It’s about knowing what you’re getting yourself into but staying for the hell of it. The joke’s on them, it’s the fun of playing someone at their own game because ultimately you won’t fall for an illusion,” said Lipa in a statement.
“Illusion” was released as the third single from her new album Radical Optimism, scheduled to hit the shelves on May 3.

]]>The music video for the band’s latest song was directed by Andrew Donoho, and it looks straight out of Indian Jones movies. It sees the frontman Dan Reynolds embarking on an epic adventure in an ancient dreamlike world, but it’s later revealed these were just visions he was having after a car crash.
“Eyes Closed” is one of Imagine Dragons’ most experimental songs to date, and it blends together the elements of rap, rock, pop, and dubstep. Reynolds revealed its lyrics came together after the band took some time off the road, allowing him to go back to the sonic places that originally brought him the most joy.
“The world looks much different after being a band for more than a decade. But some things will always remain the same. It’s finding that right balance of nostalgia and freshness that brings me the most joy in the studio. We had a lot of fun making this one and hope you enjoy it too,” said Reynolds in a statement.

The Andrew Donoho-directed visual switches between the shots of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun performing this song for the crowd and in the middle of a dimly lit road at night.
In addition to dropping the music video for “Next Semester”, Twenty One Pilots confirmed they’re planning to hit the road pretty soon. They announced the Clancy World Tour, which will include concerts across North America, Australia, and Europe in 2024 and 2025. ]]>The Nicolás Méndez-directed visual sees Cabello embarking on what seems to be her villain era alongside Playboi Carti. “I Luv It” music video is a collection of some pretty wild scenes, and it sees Cabello pouring herself a glass of gasoline, being chased by police dogs, climbing up a palm tree, and sitting in a hospital waiting room with an arrow shot through her heart.
Cabello discussed the meaning behind this song in a recent cover story with Paper magazine and said it’s rooted in those very rare few times when she felt incredible chemistry with someone.
“Part of that cocktail is also the emotional drama between you and that person, and the chaos and butterflies and nerves and passion. It’s unsustainable and not peaceful and exhausting, but also, I love it,” she explained.
“I Luv It” was released as the lead single from Cabello’s upcoming fourth studio album C,XOXO, set to be released later this year via Geffen and Interscope.

]]>Mitch Ryan-directed visual takes us to a hotel ballroom and it shows Rodrigo rocking a black dress, messy baby bangs, and deep red lipstick. She proudly wears the sash that reads “Miss Right Now”, but it quickly turns out she’s not the only one.
As she opens the chorus with a cutting line, “I’m so obsessed with your ex,” we see she’s surrounded by a group of women in white dresses wearing similar sashes. They’re all exes of the same guy, with such titles as “Miss Thought She Was the One,” “Miss 2 Summers Ago”, and “Miss Mom’s Favorite”.
“Obsessed” was featured on some vinyl editions of Guts, and it became a fan favorite long before she dropped the album’s deluxe edition. Guts (Spilled) was released on March 22, and “Obsessed” is one of the four new songs featured on this album, alongside “Scared of My Guitar”, “Stranger”, and “Girl I’ve Always Been”.
Rodrigo embarked on Guts World Tour in support of her second studio album, which includes 77 shows across North America and Europe this spring and summer.

“Love On” is Gomez’s first single of 2024 and it marks her first release since “Single Soon” last year. She’s currently plotting the release of her fourth studio album, which she described as a “real pop record” with no sad song in an interview with Vogue Mexico.
Gomez also recently dropped hints about her plans for the future during an appearance on SmartLess podcast, teasing her potential hiatus from music. She told the hosts “I do feel like I have one more album in me” before adding she’d like to shift her focus to acting.
