Sabrina Carpenter’s new album Short n’ Sweet is everything we wanted and more, and she came up with a fun way to mark its release. Her latest single “Taste” is here, and it comes with a gory music video that shows Carpenter doing everything in her power to murder Jenna Ortega.

Inspired by the 90s horror comedy Death Becomes Her, “Taste” sees the two leading ladies embarking on a murderous spree while fighting for the love of the same guy. No weapon is off limits for these two scream queens, but the death of their lover makes them realize their feud was pointless, so they decide to abandon their rivalry and form a friendship that will last a lifetime.

Carpenter and Ortega are both former Disney stars who built a pretty successful career in recent years, and their love for Death Becomes Her brought them together. “Taste” also references several other iconic movies, including Psycho, Addams Family Values, Ginger Snaps, and Kill Bill.

“Taste” is the third single from Carpenter’s sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet, but it’s not the first to break the internet. The singer also created a lot of commotion with “Espresso” and “Please Please Please”, which became her first single to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
