The 2022 UEFA Champions League final is only a few weeks away, and soccer fans aren’t the only ones excited about it. This highly-anticipated match will also be a true feast for music lovers because Camilla Cabello is set to headline the opening ceremony.

The carnival-themed celebration is expected to include a lot of costumes and high-energy choreography, making Cabello the perfect headliner for this event.

“I’m so excited to be taking to the stage at the UEFA Champions League final in Paris this month! I intend on putting on a really special show, bringing together the spirit of my Latin heritage and a feeling of togetherness for sports and music fans all over the world – I can’t wait!” the singer said in an official statement.

This announcement comes only a month after Cabello dropped her third studio album Familia on April 8. Its release was preceded by singles “Don’t Go Yet”, “Bam Bam” featuring Ed Sheeran, and “Psychofreak” featuring Willow Smith, and it debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Cabello is expected to perform a medley of her biggest hits and new songs from Familia during her upcoming performance. She’ll take to Stade de France in Paris on May 28, minutes before the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.
