Britney Spears has been around since the ‘90s and survived many highs and lows, but it’s time for her to take a break.

The pop princess announced she’ll be taking an indefinite hiatus from music to focus on her father’s health.

Spears announced her second Las Vegas residency Britney: Domination back in October and already started rehearsing for the first show that was supposed to take place on February 13. She had a total of 32 concerts planned but decided to cancel them all.

“I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make,” wrote Britney Spears on Instagram.

The Grammy winner put all of her activities and commitments on hold because she wanted to fully focus on her family in these difficult times. Spears’ father recently suffered from a near-fatal colon rupture, and the singer decided to take a hiatus so she could spend more time by his side.
