2018 has been a pretty big year for Brandi Carlile. Her latest studio album reached no. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock chart and earned her six Grammy nominations in several major categories. Everyone is falling in love with her voice – including Elisabeth Moss, who accepted her invitation to appear in the music video for Party of One.
This heartbreaking video was made by an entirely female-led crew and it shows Moss dealing with a memory of her lost lover and trying to overcome her grief. Carlile always knew she wanted female love to be front and center in Party of One, and The Handmaid’s Tale actress was her first and only choice.
These two were a match made in heaven and they knew they want to work together from the first time they crossed paths. Moss has been obsessed with Brandi Carlile ever since they met on Ellen, and it’ a good thing this folk star Elisabeth Mossfelt pretty much the same way about her.
“When I thought about making a video for Party of One, I couldn’t stop picturing Elisabeth’s face. I believe she is the absolute best actor out there right now, no one has ever impacted me so much without saying a word. I never even asked anyone else,” explained the singer.
