Boygenius made quite a splash with their debut album The Record earlier this year, and there’s more where that came from! The indie-rock supergroup is welcoming fall with a new EP The Rest, set to feature four brand-new songs.

Boygenius was founded by Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus and they’ve been making music for five years before finally deciding to release their first album together. Their debut LP The Record hit the shelves back in March, and its spiritual successor is just around the corner.

The poetic cover for this EP was shot by Matt Grub, and it shows Baker, Bridgers, and Dacus standing on the beach at sunset, while the wind blows through their hair.

The Rest will be released by Interscope on October 12, and it will feature four new songs, including “Black Hole”. It’s their third EP together following Boygenius and Boygenius (Demos), and it’s available to pre-order on limited edition yellow 10 vinyl and CD.

Boygenius made quite a splash with The Record earlier this year, which became the first no. 1 album in the UK for all of its members, in addition to debuting at No. 4 in the US. Just last week, they also released the animated music video for the song “Cool About It” directed by Lauren Tsai.
