Billie Eilish’s new record might be out sooner than you expect. According to Eilish’s brother and collaborator Finneas O’Connell, the “bad guy” singer is currently working on her second studio album.

He confirmed the news in a recent interview with Vulture.

“We’ve started working on the new album, and I think the best thing we can do is stay out of our own way,” said O’Connell.

O’Connell also explained that the duo will keep approach from working Eilish’s debut album, and aim to make a record they will enjoy.

“The first album was pretty pure in its intention. We didn’t set out to write a darling album. Our only target was to make an album that we liked, to play live. I think that’s all we’re gonna do for the second. All the other things are side effects. You can’t aim for those,” he added.

Billie Eilish released her debut When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? back in 2019 to widespread acclaim. The record topped the charts all over the world, including the United States and the UK, while also winning Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2020 Grammys.

Eilish’s most recent release was single “No Time to Die,” which will serve as the theme song for the new James Bond movie. The track received positive reviews, reaching No.1 on UK Singles charts.
