Bikini Kill is moving its reunion tour to 2021. The American punk rockers were previously scheduled to tour North America and Europe this year but were forced to postpone the shows due to coronavirus pandemic.

The European leg of the tour will now take place in the late spring of 2021, with several new dates added to the original bill. The first show will be in Brussels on May 27th, followed by concerts in France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Italy, and Germany.

The North America dates, previously scheduled for March, are now moved to the fall of next year. Bikini Kill will visit 24 cities during the trip while playing a pair of shows in Olympia, Victoria, Portland, Seattle, Silver Springs, Toronto, and Miami.

The band also recruited supporting acts for gigs in the United States and Canada, including Alice Bag, Donkey Bugs, Lithics, and Mecca Normal, among others.

Bikini Kill rose to prominence in the ’90s as pioneers of riot grrrl movement. They released two studio albums, Pussy Whipped and Reject All American, alongside several other releases before disbanding in 1997.

The band reunited in 2019, playing several shows in North America and Europe. According to recent interviews, they currently have no plans to record new material.
