Beyoncé’s decision to make a shift to country with her next album was quite a shocker, and she’s not done surprising us. The follow-up to her hit album Renaissance is coming out this month, and we finally know that it will be called Act II: Cowboy Carter.

Beyoncé’s label Parkwood Entertainment teased the title of her next LP by sharing a photo of an empty saddle against a black background. A red, white, and blue sash was draped across the saddle, confirming that the singer’s next album will be called Cowboy Carter.

This title matches Beyoncé’s new sound since she’ll use this album to embrace her country roots. She’s been fascinated by this genre from a young age, and she’s finally ready to fully embrace it and explore its long-overlooked African-American roots.

Beyoncé has given us a taste of things to come with two companion singles “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages”, which she released after the Super Bowl LVIII. “Texas Hold ‘Em” became an instant sensation and hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, in addition to becoming the first song by a Black female artist to top the Hot Country Songs chart.

Both songs will be featured on Cowboy Carter when it hits the shelves on March 29.
