Beyoncé gave us another amazing visual album with Black is King, and it was just a matter of time before she would start dropping parts of the project as individual music videos. “Brown Skin Girl” is the latest song to be released as a separate music video, and its cast is truly impressive.

In addition to Queen Bey herself, this mesmerizing video also stars her daughter Blue Ivy, the former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland, model Naomi Campbell, actress Lupita Nyong’o, and singers Saint Jhn and WizKid.

Like many of her recent videos, “Brown Skin Girl” was directed by Jenn Nkiru, who helped the singer bring her vision to life and celebrate people of different skin tones. “It was so important to me in ‘Brown Skin Girl’ that we represented all different shades of brown. We wanted every character to be shot in a regal light – Jenn Nkiru came up with the black debutantes,” said Beyoncé in a statement.

“Brown Skin Girl” is a part of Beyoncé’s visual album Black is King, but that wasn’t the first time we got to hear it. It was previously featured on the 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift.
