Bebe Rexha gave us one of her most empowering songs to date with the lead single from the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil soundtrack titled “You Can’t Stop The Girl”, and this song finally got the epic music video it deserves.

Sophie Muller-directed visual starts by showing the singer wearing workout gear and going on a run with a huge group of fellow athletes. It also features a series of clips from the movie and even shows Rexha wandering through the fairy tale world of Disney’s latest film.

While discussing this track at the Maleficent: Mistress of Evil world premiere, the singer admitted it was actually inspired by Serena Williams, but she was super-excited after director Joachim Rønning approached her with the idea to put the song on the soundtrack.

“He asked me to watch the movie to see if I related to it, and I was like, ‘Okay, cool. I’m down to see it.’ And I watched it and I was blown away. I immediately told my team, I was like, ‘I have to work this song into the movie!’” Bebe Rexha told Entertainment Tonight.
