Bebe Rexha is thirty, flirty and thriving – and she marked the occasion in the best way possible! She celebrated her birthday by dropping emotional new single “Not 20 Anymore” which sees her embracing the new chapter of her life.
Rexha dealt with ageism before, and this song was her way of reclaiming her power and telling the world how amazing she feels in her own skin as the years go by.
“Not 20 Anymore is about me turning thirty and I’m really scared, but I feel like I’m a better lover, I’m a better person than I’ve ever been, I love my body, I love my age. And I think this is really important for women: this is a very strong and empowering song,” Rexha posted on Instagram.
Music video for her latest single features testimonials of several individuals who are still in their twenties, reflecting on their own fears and insecurities that this age brings along. “Not 20 Anymore” is set to be featured on her second studio album, which is yet to get a title and a release date.
