It’s been almost seven years since Avenged Sevenfold surprised their fans with a new album, but it seems they’re finally ready for a comeback! The band’s next LP Life Is but a Dream… is coming our way in June, and they teased its release with the lead single “Nobody”.
“Nobody” is the band’s first new song since the release of “Mad Hatter” in 2018, and it serves as the lead single on their upcoming LP Life Is but a Dream… The album will include a total of 11 tracks, largely inspired by the writing and philosophy of Albert Camus.
The band’s press release described “Nobody” as “6 minutes of tension, groove and dynamics”, adding it “twists and turns beyond conventional songwriting and leans in on discomfort before letting go.”
Its stop-motion music video was directed by Chris Hopewell, and it’s supposed to capture “a stunning and powerful journey exploring the dichotomy between life and death, love and war, and follows the main character through an existential crisis.”
Life Is but a Dream… will hit the shelves on June 2, and it will mark Avenged Sevenfold’s first album since The Stage in 2016, marking the longest gap between their studio albums.
