Ariana Grande’s seventh studio album was a long time coming, and it seems the wait will soon be over! The two-time Grammy winner has been actively teasing her next LP in a series of social media posts and comments, dropping some major hints that #AG7 could hit the shelves any day now.
Grande made it clear she was up to something when she shared several photos from a recording studio on social media, but that was just the beginning. All hell broke loose when she removed her YouTube profile photo, hinting she might be ready to kick off a brand-new era.
She was later spotted going to a set in New York, and her fans quickly started speculating she was working on a new music video. To add more fuel to the fire, Grande herself told fans that she won’t drop any snippets for #AG7, so it’s possible this album would get a surprise release. She also celebrated reaching 90 million monthly listeners on Spotify by telling her fans she “can’t wait for you to have more to hear!”
Grande’s last studio album Positions came out in 2020, and produced singles “Positions”, “34+35”, and “POV”. It became her fifth no. 1 album in the US and earned her a Grammy nod for the best pop vocal album.
