Alicia Keys is plotting an intriguing project for her fans. The Grammy Award-winning singer just shared details about her upcoming double album KEYS, which includes promises of two sides with vastly different sounds.

According to the announcement, Side A of the album is referred to as “Originals” and will feature songs with “laidback piano vibes.” Side B, known as “Unlocked,” will have the same tracks but in versions described as “upbeat, drums, level up vibes.”

Mike Will Made-It, a frequent collaborator of Kendrick Lamar, serves as the producer on Side B alongside Keys.

The release date of the album still remains under wraps, but it is expected to come out by the end of 2021, according to multiple reports. Keys already presented the first single from the record, sharing track LALA (Unlocked), which features Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, back in early September. The duo later performed the song at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

Alicia Keys’ most recent studio effort was Alicia, which was released in the fall of 2020. Being her first new album in four years, the LP received positive reviews from the critics while peaking at no. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200 charts.
