Most bands use their tours to promote new material but Against Me! is taking a completely different approach on their upcoming tour. They are gearing up to play four of their classic albums in full when they hit the road this fall.

The albums included in this once-in-a-lifetime special are Searching for a Former Clarity (2005), New Wave (2007), White Crosses (2010), and Transgender Dysphoria Blues (2014).

They consist of a total of 48 songs, and the band decided to divide the set into two nights, with concerts taking place in Los Angeles, Toronto, Sayreville, Boston, and Baltimore between October 12-25.

Frontwoman Laura Jane Grace explained they came up with this idea while working on new music and joked it’s the closest they’ll ever get to being a part of a rock opera.

“Like chapters in a book, there’s a narrative that flows through these four albums that we’ve never had the chance before to present in this context, as one complete story. I’m excited to share the songs as a whole in this way,” said Grace in an official statement.
