It’s been almost a decade since Adele toured the world, and she’s looking forward to doing it again. The Grammy-winning singer recently revealed she’s planning to take her next album on the road, while also admitting it will take “quite some time” before that moment comes.

Adele resumed her Weekends with Adele Las Vegas residency this month and shared some bad news and some good news with the fans in the audience.

“I just don’t think I’m gonna write an album for quite some time… But next time I do, I’ll come to wherever it is you live,” said Adele during her recent performance in Las Vegas.

Adele hasn’t released a new album since 30 in 2021, and this isn’t the first time she admitted we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for its follow-up. She discussed the large gaps between her albums with The Hollywood Reporter and said she hasn’t been working on new music because she’s nervous about wearing her voice out after the residency.

Weekends with Adele will keep the British hitmaker in Las Vegas until June after she extended it last October. Adele credited this residency with helping her reconnect with her songs and fall back in love with performing live again.
