Adele has been on top of her game since the start of her Las Vegas residency, but she’ll have to take a break from performing next month. The Grammy-winning singer announced she’s postposing her residency dates through March to take some time to recover from an illness.

Adele took to social media to announce that her upcoming Las Vegas residency dates will be pushed to a later date “on doctors orders”. She explained that the postponement was necessary because she has “no choice but to rest thoroughly.”

“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency. I was sick at the end of the last leg and all the way through my break. I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to full health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately, it’s all taken a toll on my voice,” wrote Adele in a statement.

Weekends with Adele kicked off back in late 2022 and saw the British hitmaker stick around in Las Vegas for much longer than expected. She extended the residency until June 2024, but new dates will most likely be added following a recent postponement. She’s expected to hit the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace again on May 18.
