Rapper 21 Savage is at the top of the US Billboard 200 charts once again. Savage’s third-studio album, American Dream, which came out on January 12, scored No. 1 by selling 133,000 equivalent album units in the United States.

This was the fourth time that 21 Savage made it to the top of the US Billboard 200 charts. He topped the charts with his 2018 record I Am > I Was, before repeating the feat with the Metro Boomin collaboration album Savage Mode II in 2020 and Drake team-up record Her Loss in 2022.

Additionally, American Dream marks Savage’s most-stream record throughout the first week of its release. The tracks from the album were streamed a total of 169.53 million times, surpassing 151.87 million of I Am > I Was.

American Dream, which features guest appearances from the likes of Doja Cat, Lil Durk, and Travis Scott, didn’t receive much promotion, being announced just three days before it dropped. Still, it is proving to be a commercial success, topping charts in five other countries while also reaching No. 2 on the UK Albums charts. The release also received positive reviews from the critics, who praised the album’s “intimate” feel and production.
