The MTV Europe Music Awards are heading to Manchester for their next ceremony, and the list of nominees is finally in. Taylor Swift topped the list of contenders, which is largely dominated by female artists, including Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Swift is one of the contenders for the best artist award, along with Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Raye, and Sabrina Carpenter. She also secured nominations for best video and best collaboration for “Fortnight” ft. Post Malone, plus individual nominations for best pop, best live, and biggest fans.
Despite dominating the list of nominees, Swift failed to break into the competitive best song field. The list of contenders in this category includes Ariana Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”, Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things”, Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em”, Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather”, Chappell Roan’s “Good Luck, Babe!” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso”.
In addition to Swift with seven nods, the list of most nominated artists at this year’s ceremony includes Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter with five nominations each. The 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards will take place on November 10 at the Co-op Live in Manchester, United Kingdom, with the host yet to be announced.
