Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y Release Joint Project Dubbed “2009”

The long awaited joint project between Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y is finally here. First announced in 2015, the collaboration effort consists of 14 songs that stars the duo and features Ty Dolla $ign, and Problem.

Wiz gave a hint the album would be due this year last December but didn’t release the names of the songs until this week. The project is a continuation of Wiz and Curren$y’s other projects How Fly released in 2009 and Live in Concert that was released in 2013.          

The duo will kick off a tour to promote the project this Friday, with the firs show taking place in Seattle and the final stop to be held in San Antonio later this March. The two will also perform in Portland, Chicago, Detroit and New Orleans. A special performance will also be held in May at the Rolling Loud Miami.

Individually, Wiz is expected to release a solo album later this year as well as a deluxe version of Rolling Papers 2.

“I said that I was going to do and R&B album but I think I’m just going to drop some like dope ass players s**t.”

As of now, fans can stream songs from “2009” from all major streaming network.
