Weezer’s frontman Rivers Cuomo has released a new track accompanied by a bizarre music video.

The new track is called “Two Broken Hearts” but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a melancholy break-up song. It’s just about the most upbeat, happy-go-lucky song we’ve heard all month and it’s December… i.e. the month of cheesy Christmas songs and festive spirit.

Accompanying the track is a rather odd albeit delightfully quirky music video. Rivers’ Bitmoji avatar is serenaded by his love interest on a Gondola in Venice, shortly after the pair of them fly around on balloons across the generic 2000s desktop background. The rest of the video is filled with some of 2018’s best memes, including a clip of Elon Musk smoking up on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

You can watch the weirdly wonderful offering from Rivers Cuomo below:

The track is a nice interlude before the release of Weezer’s upcoming The Black Album which will be released on March 1, 2019.
