It’s been five years since the release of Troye Sivan’s last studio album, and its follow-up is just around the corner. The Australian singer announced the release of his third studio album Something to Give Each Other and broke the internet with its lead single “Rush”.

Sivan teased the release of “Rush” back in June, and apologized to his fans for keeping them waiting for his new music for so long. After wrapping up the tour for his previous album Bloom, he got busy with other projects, including the HBO show The Idol, but he was always writing new music in between.

Sivan gave us a taste of things to come with a new single “Rush” and described this song as a feeling of going on a “two-hour date that turned into a weekend, a crush, a winter, a summer.”

“Party after party, after party, after party. All of my experiences from a chapter where I feel confident, free, and liberated. Independent, yet somehow the most connected to the music and community around me,” he explained in an official statement.

Sivan described Something to Give Each Other as “a celebration of s-x, dance, sweat, community, queerness, love, and friendship”, adding it will hit the shelves on October 13.
