The coveted title of “song of the summer” is reserved for signature summer jams that we will be hearing literally everywhere in the summer.
Most of the songs we’ll be dancing our hearts out all summer long already came out, but only one can rule them all.
Earning this title is often much harder than simply topping the charts. An essential summer song has to have a catchy beat, memorable lyrics, and global appeal. It has to be blasting every time you turn on the radio, go to the mall, hang out with your friends or hit the club.
It’s the song everyone knows the words to and can’t get it out of their head all summer long. We’re yet to see which of our favorite catchy tracks will earn this title, but these ten are the most serious candidates at this point in time.
