The band has revealed the artwork for its forthcoming album Fear Inoculum.

In addition to the cover’s unveiling, they also teased the album’s title track.

We are slowly becoming more familiar with Tool’s fifth album. The band took to Instagram to share the image that features the new gold metallic Tool logo over a background that appears to be a coiled snake.

Fear Inoculum was inspired by the number seven.

“I took a picture pointing to the number seven while we were recording, and a lot of the riffs Justin [Chancellor] and I brought in were in seven,” Adam Jones told Guitar World. “You don’t really go, ‘I’m going to write a riff in seven!’…Without being too descriptive about the concept, the main thing is that the seven beat just kept coming up, and riffs in seven kept coming up. It was really weird!”

Fear Inoculum is the follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days
