The First Season of “Euphoria” Ended with an Epic Musical Number

Zendaya in "Euphoria"

Euphoria gave us a series of amazing musical moments over the course of its first eight episodes, but its finale was something truly special. The first season of HBO’s teen drama ended with a bang and saw Zendaya performing an emotional rendition of “All for Us” alongside Labrinth.

According to music supervisor Jen Malone, they originally had a different song in mind for finale’s big musical number. That changed after showrunner Sam Levinson fell in love with Labrinth’s “All for Us”, and used it to frame the entire season of Euphoria.

“In addition to Zendaya doing the lead vocals, Sam wanted a marching band and choir on the track so we had to set up the pre-record. We took Lab’s track and ‘sweetened it’ by working with a music contractor who did a marching band arrangement of the song,” Malone explained in an in-depth interview with Complex.

“All for Us” isn’t the only amazing song that helped the masterminds behind Euphoria channel the chaotic energy of its latest episode. Season 1 finale also features “My Body Is A Cage” by Arcade Fire, “Mi Gente” by J. Balvin and Willy William and “Rhythm of the Night” by Debarge.
