Taylor Swift’s fans held onto hope they’ll get to see her live during the planned Lover Fest concert tour, but their plans recently failed. The Grammy-winning singer announced this event has officially been canceled, without any plans to reschedule the shows.

In an official statement regarding the cancellation of Lover Fest, Swift said she misses her fans terribly and can’t wait to see them at live shows again, but she feels that they can’t take place safely under the current circumstances.

“This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone’s plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future. I’m so disappointed that I won’t be able to see you in person as soon as I wanted to,” said Swift on social media.

Lover Fest was originally scheduled to take place in the spring and summer of 2020 across Europe, North America, and South America. Swift was supposed to make appearances at several festivals and perform solo shows, but these events were put on hold in April last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic before their official cancelation.
