Taylor Swift celebrated the release of her new album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with the single “I Can See You”, and its music video is a true blast from the past. In a true stroke of genius, the singer cast her ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner in her latest epic visual.

As with many of her recent music videos, this one is also directed by Swift herself and it’s one wild rollercoaster. The “I Can See You” visual looks just like a heist movie, and it stars Joey King and Taylor Lautner, whom Swift briefly dated over a decade ago.

Swift surprised the audience at a recent Kansas City concert by bringing Lautner on stage while reflecting on how he helped her bring the original Speak Now to life.

“He was a very positive force in my life when I was making the Speak Now album, and I want to say he did every single stunt that you saw in that music video. He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all share the same first name,” said Swift.

“I Can See You” is one of the “from the vault” tracks from Swift’s re-recorded version of her hit album Speak Now, along with “Electric Touch” ft. Fall Out Boy and “Castles Crumbling” ft. Hayley Williams.
