There’s been a lot of speculations that Speak Now could be the next album that Taylor Swift re-records, and she finally made things official. Taylor’s Version of her third studio album is coming our way this summer, and it will feature six unreleased songs from the vault.

Swift broke the news by sharing a post on social media, along with a photo in a purple dress, reminiscent of the original Speak Now cover. She explained that she wrote this album between 18 and 20, completely on her own, and explained how it encapsulates this stage of her life.

“The songs that came from this time in my life were marked by their brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic confessions, and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a tale of growing up, flailing, flying and crashing … and living to speak about it,” she wrote in a statement.

Speak Now was originally released in 2010, and it produced hit singles “Mine”, “Back to December”, “Sparks Fly”, “Ours”, “Mean”, and “The Story of Us”. “Mean” won two Grammy Awards for best country song and best country solo performance, while the album itself was nominated for best country album.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) will be released on July 7, and it will feature a total of 22 tracks.
