Kevin Parker recently decided to treat Tame Impala fans with something special. Parker shared an alternative mix of the band’s latest album Slow Rush and made it available for free on almost all major streaming platforms.

Compared to the original release, this new mix, titled The Slow Rush In An Imaginary Place, is more distorted and echoed. The overall feel of the sound could be described as if you were listening to the record from another room.

Check it out for yourself below.

“I made something for all you isolators out there,” Parker wrote on Tame Impala’s official Instagram account. “I call it The Slow Rush In An Imaginary Place. Headphones required for a full immersive effect. See you in there.”

Tame Impala released Slow Rush back in February, with the record receiving great reviews from the critics. It was also a chart success, peaking at No.3 on the US Billboard 200.

Besides his work with Tame Impala, Kevin Parker also had a number of other projects in recent months, including a collab with The Weeknd — Parker contributed to his most recent album After Hours as a producer, and also provided back vocals for “Repeat After Me” (Interlude).
